Birthdays and Arguments...

Work, travel, and laziness have kept me from posting this last month! Well, that and my new addiction to Pandora. I just found an epic band called Clevergirl, and right now I'm being inspired by The Wombats and The Weepies! I'll be posting songs soon, so keep an eye open for that (two if you have poor eyesight)!

But today's subject has nothing to do with any of that, so I'll skip over the bull****. My best friend Amanda's birthday is coming up!

Hopelessly addicted to energy drinks, that one is....

She's honestly my favorite person in the world, and on the 20th we celebrate another year forward! So I was looking for a gift....jumped on facebook and saw a status forward talking all about god's grace and how we should all hold our loved ones closer, how it affected us all....and I simply lost it! Well, I posted that "I know I should say something about the shooting, but compared to others, it simply cannot affect me as much."  And I was yelled at. I was called a Satanist. It sparked a HUGE pointless argument online....really not worth it! And it totally harshed my birthday party mello. So I am a little....well...a lot bummed today. Here's more pics of my Manda and me to make up for that!

Us on twin day! Lol...had to be one of the most interesting days in the year. We were nerds, obviously, but it was hilarious because as Minnesotans, everyone else was dressing up in the Twins baseball uniforms!

All of our friends at the MOA for the annual choir trip....none of us bought very much...we ran around trying on stuff instead!

Right after the Skillet concert in our concert hall (It was HOT!)
I've had more fun in the past year with you than I can say in a lifetime....I truly love my sister, my best friend, and my JubJub for life! Happy Birthday to my one and only Amanda!!!

A Stitch In Time...

It's been...a...while? No, really, I've been busy, sorry! But, I have a few highlights of my life since I last blogged, some stuff you may not care about mingled with opinions you definitely don't care about.

I'm giving up on guys for awhile...as I've recently been hurt through friendzoning (look for THAT can of worms later). I've also ditched my friends for a summer in Wisconsin visiting family, but I have a job! Yup, soon I'll be a Mickey Dee's employee.

That's...sadly all that's been going on in my life. So, today's post is devoted to all the lame shows I'm seeing...recently, it's Men At Work. Seems okay, but the comedy in it is pretty low-key. I also just watched Keeping Up With the Kardashians (for the first time, I'm so proud!) and all I could think was "What....the...f**k?" Lame comedies aren't really my thing, I guess.

I'm not really creative right now, so this post was a waste of time...anyways, here's the daily quote/picture...again, it's not epic due to my extreme laziness.

The Challenges of Talking...

Hey, readers! So....currently, I'm sitting across from someone who might just like me as much as I like him. He's sweet, funny, talented, the whole package. And here I am blogging instead of talking to him...why, you ask? Because I...am a loser. Like many other girls out there (and some guys ;D), I find myself tongue-tied and paralyzed in fear! If you're reading this, then now is your chance to contribute for the first time. How do you talk to guys? How do you overcome tongue-tied-ness? How do YOU survive in front of him?

Well there's nothing original to say...\

My negligence is tantamount. But I actually haven't had anything to write about until now. Today's blog is an old, old, overly done subject: about what men simply don't know about women . But I'm not here to spill the generalized bull crap or whine about what you don't know (maybe a little), I actually want to tell you what we love, and this is junk that I've gotten from all of my friends (and if you know us, we're a pretty flipping diverse group), with little tidbits from my own noggin.

  1. We love hugs.
  2. Sex is fun, but it's not just for you. (slutty friend's take :3)
  3. We like talking, and I, for one, enjoy hearing about your day just as much as talking about that bitch who was giving me a hard time today.
  4. We are not stereotypes. We might make you a sandwich the first time you say it, or just to be funny, but this is not a privilege to be abused.
  5. Many of us are pretty decent people!
  6. Our "getting ready" time is like meditation. It is beautiful, wonderful bliss and gives us a sense of controlling our world.
Now, I'm just too lazy to finish the list, but I know there are more. No offense to any guys out there, men and women are just two different species. But it's something to think on. AND THE DAILY QUOTE IIIIIS:

I Warned You...

Not to sound pompous, but I did. School has been hell and I've started a new life regimen that's going to fix my screwed up habits. I love you my scant readers, and I will post again! (P.S....17 pageviews, and you had no idea how hard that was to write without my "1" key).

Until next time, and I'll attempt to discontinue my negligence :3

Today's Headaches! I mean...Music

It's official. I hate today's music. After hearing someone refer to Nicki Minaj as a lyrical angel, you'd think I'd be able to withstand anything. But earlier this evening I was taking a shower and listening to the usual crap music on our station. It was a decent line up so far, with Pink's "Get the Party Started" topping my list....when suddenly, a song I had never heard before came on! It was a little slow, and opened with a crappy guitar solo part, but I kept my hopes high!!! The rest of the song consisted of a stereotypical skinny non-hipster-defined-yet-still-trying-to-be-without-sounding-like-a-douche-but-still-totally-douche"ish" sounding guy singing "I just want you to know who I am" over and over and over and over and OVER AND OVER AND OVER!!! Seriously man, just tell me it once, tell me your name, and I'll not have wasted three and a half minutes of my life to your bullcrap.

Apparently, this song was a huge hit in 1999 by the Goo Goo Dolls...so it's not necessarily new, but I'll bet anything that this is the source of douchebag sound today. Having never heard it, I presumed it was just another copycat song. But I'm also sticking with my earlier judgement! This song sucks, and I was 100% right for flipping off my radio the entire time.

On a side-note sneak peek into my world: I'm starting a song again! With very limited results, I have pieced THIS together.

"My resolve has resolved to stop holding me up/Gravity's not all that is holding me down"

COMMENT CHALLENGE: If there is anyone reading this, help me to stop sounding like a whiny teenage boy getting his first period (and that was a joke, I know perfectly well how reproductive organs work).

Crushes...

Is there anything wrong with a 15-year old girl who's attracted to a 33-year old man, a 36-year old man, and a man that's in his fifties? My answer: No.

33-year old Joseph Gordon-Levitt. He looks so sweet and innocent, you almost think he's not a player!

36-year old Redfoo. He's talented...and he's sexy and we all know it...Just not in this picture xP
Oh god....Robert Downey Jr....No words, just drool.

So, yeah, older men can be hot. But as a teenager I get a lot, and I mean A LOT of flak for not being lovey for Lautner, or pumped up for Pattinson. I like my men as men, not boys. And when there's this much beauty in these three guys, you can almost forget that Joseph's a playboy who's probably hurt a lot of girls, Redfoo sings (in almost every song) about how much **** he's getting, and Robert DJ was addicted to drugs. Almost. And with that said, today's quote! "Love has no age; Lust has no expiration date" (I would cite someone for saying it, but I came up with it)

Oh, and an insight into my personal life: I just saw the Hunger Games movie! And I loved it, except for the wolves at the end. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE HUMAN EYES, PEOPLE!
